Claim Presentation – what does this mean?

We have a proven track record of achieving settlements in complex cases where Insurers and policyholders are in dispute, including cases where Insurers have decided to refuse a claim or impose penalties for breach of policy conditions. Gathering and presenting evidence of the value of assets that have been lost or damaged, whether buildings, contents or balance sheet/gross profit is a complex skill. Our clients have consistently found that our assistance is of value to them in ensuring they achieve their full policy entitlement.


What can we do for you?

Fast Food Restaurant

In February 2019 the owner of a fast food restaurant contacted TopMark seeking help on his claim. He advised that significant damage had been sustained at his premises following a leak from a boiler; he informed us that his Insurers had appointed specialist investigators and the implication was that the claim was not genuine. The next day we met with the owner of the takeaway and he confirmed that his Insurers had implied that no payments would be made under the Policy. In June 2019 our client received a payment in excess of £85,000 from his Insurers, exceeding all of his expectations.

Property Owner

In September 2018 Storm Ali wreaked havoc throughout the UK causing significant damage to properties across the country.

In October 2018 we were contacted by the owner of a commercial property in Glasgow; he informed us that his Insurers were not willing to meet his claim on the basis that the damage to his roof was not caused by storm.

In December 2018, after appointing TopMark to act on his behalf, the client received a payment of more than £50,000 from his Insurers.
